Honoring Lives Lost at Sea
Mock up photo below of a sculpture memorializing our local Fishermen lost at sea. Coming soon to an area near Macmillan Pier.

The Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation is working to honor the men, women, and children from Provincetown and Truro who lost their lives to the sea. The memorial will be installed at the foot of MacMillan Pier in Provincetown, Massachusetts, a place long tied to the town’s fishing heritage.
The monument will feature a 14-foot by 8-foot bronze sculpture of an empty Grand Banks dory cresting atop a rolling wave, set upon a polished black granite base measuring 12 feet wide, 30 inches deep, and 6 feet tall. Engraved across the wave will be the names of those from Provincetown and Truro who were lost at sea.
For generations, the people of these communities made their living on some of the most dangerous waters in the world. This memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to their courage, sacrifice, and the enduring bond between Cape Cod and the sea.
